Serving Kanata from 36 Capital Drive, Nepean · 24/7 monitoring · 613-233-1115
From Bridlewood and Katimavik to Morgan's Grant, Kanata Lakes and Beaverbrook, Kanata is commuter country — long days downtown or in the tech park, kids home after school, deliveries on the porch. That's exactly the household a modern monitored system is built for.
Thousands of Kanata homes built from the 1990s on came with a builder-installed alarm that's now monitored by a national company at $35–$45 a month — or not monitored at all. In most cases we can switch that exact system to our monitoring for free and cut the bill to $14.99 + HST after your $9.99 first year. Same sensors, same keypad, smaller bill.
With Total Connect 2.0 on your phone you can check the doorbell camera from Kanata North, confirm the kids got in, and get an alert if a door opens when nobody should be home. The VX1 doorbell's package alerts matter on streets where deliveries sit out all day.

Three ways to do this
That one answer decides everything else — and in a lot of Kanata houses the panel that is already there can stay — on an app, or just monitored.
Our First Alert line, the one we are a Premier Pro Partner for. Usually the VISTA H3, or a ProSeries touchscreen, fitted and monitored — everything quoted in writing first.
A DSC, Honeywell VISTA, Qolsys or 2GIG panel usually stays exactly where it is — we add a communicator, keep your keypads and sensors, and it goes on an app.
A working panel and a real phone line is all this needs. We change who it dials and nothing else — no app, no new hardware, nothing to buy. $9.99 a month the first year.
In Kanata, specifically
If the house came with a Honeywell VISTA or a DSC, it can usually stay. We fit an Alarm.com communicator, the keypads keep working, and you get the app. If you already have the Alarm.com communicator and just want better monitoring, there is nothing to buy — you only need the plan.
A home office or a single suite in Kanata North uses the same plans as a house. If you run several locations and want them on one dashboard with open and close reports, that is what Commercial is for.
Alarm.com doorbells and cameras sit in the same app as the alarm, so a motion clip and a door opening show up on one timeline. Battery cameras with a small solar panel suit a side yard or a detached garage where running a cable is not worth it. See the cameras.

Yes — Bridlewood, Glen Cairn, Katimavik, Beaverbrook, Kanata Lakes, Morgan's Grant, Emerald Meadows and the surrounding areas, plus Stittsville next door.
$9.99/month for your first year, then $14.99 + HST for a standard system or $16.99 + HST for a VISTA H3. Alarm.com, GSM/cellular, camera or doorbell service are additional monthly fees, quoted upfront when we discuss your options — everything upfront, no hidden agenda. Paid by pre-authorized bank payment (void cheque).
Usually yes, and usually without touching the equipment. Your current company has to release the panel, which is normally a phone call once any contract has ended. How switching works.
Not for one location. A single office or shop uses the same plans as a home. Commercial and Commercial Plus are for businesses with several locations that want them managed together.
Rarely in the built-up parts. We check the panel's own signal reading before we leave, and where it is weak we move the panel, add an external antenna, or use your internet as a second path.
